Argentina crude steel output down 16.7% in 2015
Crude steel production in Argentina reached approximately 5 million tonnes in 2015, or -8.4% less year-on-year. Output in December shrunk by -16.7% y-o-y to 371,600t, Kallanish learns from the country’s steel association, Acero Argentino.
Hot rolled products output totalled 372,400t in December, or -6.5% less month-on-month and -11.6% less on-year. Total output in 2015 fell to 4.5mt, or approximately -9% less compared to 2014.
