Tight supply further inflates Turkish scrap prices
Turkish mills’ imported scrap prices increased further on Tuesday with a fresh US-origin deal.
The cargo comprised 15,000 tonnes of HMS 95:5 at $245/tonne, 12,000t of shredded at $248/t and 3,000t of bonus at $253/t cfr Turkey. This follows a deal by another mill on Monday for an EU-origin cargo at $235/t cfr for 10,000t of HMS 75:25, $243/t for 20,000t of shredded, $248/t for 4,000t of P&S and $253/t for 6,000t of busheling.
