Arch ramps up new West Virginia coal mine
Arch Resources has begun longwall operations at its Leer South mine in West Virginia and expects to hit full production at the met coal mine early next year. The mine will help the company increase its high-volatility metallurgical output by 3 million short tons.
Q4 shipping volumes are expected to increase modestly due to the ramp-up of the Leer South mine as well as two late Q3 vessels slipping into Q4, Kallanish learns from the company’s Q3 results.
