ArcelorMittal Spain delays Gijón plant restart
ArcelorMittal Spain has postponed the resumption of activities at its Gijón steelworks until at least the end of this week. Production at the site was initially scheduled to resume on Tuesday, Kallanish notes.
The current situation of high energy prices and the continuing transport strike in the country is impacting almost 30% of ArcelorMittal’s production and some 1,600 of its more than 5,000 workers.
