ArcelorMittal slashes Iranian sales in 2018, monitors situation
ArcelorMittal International in Dubai (AMID) reduced its sales of steel to Iran by -80% on-year in 2018 to $66.2 million, representing 4% of the firm’s overall sales.
The firm has not sold directly or indirectly to Iran since last November. After the US reintroduced Iranian sanctions last May it only sold through traders finished commodity grade long and flat steel products to Iranian construction and consumer goods companies.
