ArcelorMittal postpones Krakow hot-end restart on coronavirus spread
ArcelorMittal Poland (AMP) has postponed indefinitely the restart of the hot-end at its Krakow steelworks on account of the coronavirus spread in Europe.
The firm idled BF no.5 at Krakow last November due to weak demand and was planning to restart it in the second half of March in order to supply slab for rolling at the group’s Gent works in Belgium (see Kallanish passim).
