ArcelorMittal Pecém sees slab exports decelerate in May
Brazil’s ArcelorMittal Pecém (AMP) saw slab exports decline on-month in May, Kallanish notes. Shipments were however higher compared to the same month in 2022.
According to data issued by the local port authority, AMP’s May shipments abroad reached 176,467 tonnes, down 38.5% or 110,458t less on-month. This volume, however, was up 0.5% versus the 175,531t shipped a year earlier.
