ArcelorMittal Mexico new strip mill rolls first coil
ArcelorMittal officially produced the first steel coil at its new hot-rolling mill (HSM) at Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico on 14 December. The facility should reach its full operational capacity before the end of the first quarter, Kallanish learns from the company.
The mill enables ArcelorMittal Mexico to transform slab into rolled coil and to reduce production and energy costs, the steelmaker comments.
