Thieves hit ArcelorMittal Liberia iron ore train transport
A train carrying iron ore from ArcelorMittal Liberia mines to Buchanan Port was attacked by suspected thieves on 21 September, the firm says.
The attack took place two weeks after ArcelorMittal and the Liberian government signed an amendment to the Mineral Development Agreement (MDA), which will enable ArcelorMittal to expand its Liberian operations (see Kallanish passim).
