ArcelorMittal Italia demolishes Taranto blast furnace
The demolition of blast furnace no 3 has begun at ArcelorMittal Italia’s Taranto plant as part of the environmental plan the company agreed with the Italian authorities.
Blast furnace n. 3 will be replaced by a waste water treatment plant dedicated to blast furnace nos. 1, 2 and 4. Work on the water treatment plant will start next September and will be completed by June 2020, Kallanish learns from ArcelorMittal.
