Aramco continues Saudi pipe awards
Saudi Steel Pipe Co. (SSP) has won a SAR 74 million ($19.7m) contract to supply Saudi Aramco with oil & gas casings. Hot rolled coil feedstock will be sourced from Saudi steelmaker Sabic, Kallanish learns from SSP.
SSP is in the process of launching commercial production at its new 120,000 tonnes/year 8-inch diameter pipe mill. This will take its high frequency induction welded pipe production capacity to 440,000 t/y.
