AQS evaluates doubling capacity
Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS), the Algerian-Qatari steelmaking joint venture, could double production capacity, Kallanish understands from an Algerian government note.
A memorandum of understanding was signed this week between Algerian officials and executives from AQS, as part of a visit to Qatar of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. It will be followed by a feasibility study into the possible doubling of steelmaking capacity at the mill.
