ANZ lowers year-end nickel price to $17,500/t
ANZ Research has lowered its nickel forecast to $17,500/tonne for the year end, Kallanish notes.
The research house says in a note that the nickel market is grappling with strong supply growth and weak battery-sector demand.
According to ANZ, Indonesian production has grown to above 2,000t in 2023 from 800,000t in 2018, contributing more than 40% of global nickel production.
