Antam plans to invest in Indonesian smelter alone
Indonesia's Aneka Tambang (Antam) recently announced it would invest alone into a nickel smelter and stainless steel plant in the West Papua Suolong Special Economic Zone. Negotiations between Antam and two partner candidates, China's Tsingshan Group and Philippine Pax Libera Mining, were meanwhile terminated because they did not meet Antam's requirements, Kallanish notes.
