Turkish imported scrap prices increase sharply again

Turkish imported scrap prices saw another sharp increase on Monday, Kallanish notes. A Turkish steelmaker in the south bought an EU-origin cargo at $243/tonne cfr Turkey average price. Although the breakdown of the cargo is yet to be confirmed, the buyer declared the HMS 75:25 price equivalent to be at $235/t cfr.
