Ann Joo reports profit growth, remains optimistic
Malaysia’s Ann Joo Resources has reported a 23.1% jump in net profit to MYR 205.38 million ($52.49m) in 2017. Higher prices drove up margins despite scheduled maintenance and capital costs in the fourth quarter, Kallanish notes.
The company says it remains optimistic as China is continuing to restrict capacity and there is a general improvement in both global and regional steel demand. It adds that construction activity should help to boost domestic demand…
