Analysts see Malaysia’s car sales to ease
Despite positive car sales momentum in Malaysia, analysts expect car sales to ease in 2024, Kallanish notes.
TA Securities says in a note that it observed Malaysia’s forward car sales orders are showing signs of easing, which could translate to weaker sales of 650,000 units in 2024.
The research house also expects stiff competition and competitive pricing and carmakers may need to offer discounts to attract budget-conscious customers.
