Improved scrap supply lifts Amurstal steel output

Russian Far Eastern steelmaker Amurstal increased production of liquid steel in July due to additional supply of ferrous scrap, the company says. Output amounted to 73,500 tonnes, up by 6% compared with June, Kallanish notes. The plan for long products supply to the domestic market was completely fulfilled, and 18% more billet was shipped for export than initially expected in early July, the enterprise says.
