Ampco to sell Pennsylvania business by 30 September
US cast and forged mill roll producer Ampco-Pittsburgh expects to formally close its Avonmmore, Pennsylvania, facility by 30 September, the company says in its second-quarter earnings.
Closing the Avonmore facility cost the company $10.1 million during the quarter in impairment charges, though Ampco expects that the diversiture of the facility will ultimately net the company an additional $9-10m per year in operating profit.
