Ampco cuts lead to profitability in second quarter
US mill roll supplier Ampco-Pittsburgh credits cost-cutting measures taken before the initial peak of the Covid-19 crisis with allowing the company to return to profitability in the second-quarter, Kallanish reports.
Ampco earned $700,000 during Q2 on sales of $74.8m, up from a loss of $3.9m on sales of $102.5m in Q2 2019.
