AMP places BF on standby following fugitive emission
ArcelorMittal Poland (AMP) has put blast furnace no.2 at its flagship Dabrowa Gornicza steelworks on standby mode following a fugitive dust emission caused by the failure to close a tap hole.
The standby move allowed AMP to limit the duration of the emission to ten minutes. The firm said on Friday it was investigating the cause of the incident.
