AMKR restarts another converter after downtime amid war
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) has put into operation oxygen converter No.5, which was stopped for three months from March after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the company says.
The first melt took place on 6 June and produced more than 142 tonnes of liquid steel, Kallanish notes.
There are six such converters at the enterprise. Operating just one will be enough to carry out the current production plan, the firm claims.
