AMKR purchases coal from Polish, Ukrainian market
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) has started importing coal from Poland due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, the company tells Kallanish.
“Thanks to our sister company in Poland, we were able to bring in a certain type of Polish coal that was missing from our reserves,” a spokesperson says. “We also cooperate with local Ukrainian companies, but so far these are trial batches.”
