AMKR increases crude steel, lowers finished steel output
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) increased crude steel production in January-July by 2.5% on-year to 2.9 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
Pig iron production increased by 11% to 3.28mt. However, rolled products output fell 2% to 2.7mt. The Ukrainian steelmaker also produced 5.8mt of sinter, up by 6.7%.
In July alone, the company produced 450,000t of crude steel, 500,000t of pig iron, 400,000t of rolled products and 900,000t of sinter.
