AMKR increases steel, pig iron output
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) increased crude steel production in January-April, the company says.
Steel output was up 0.4% on-year to 1.6 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. Pig iron production increased by 10.1% to 1.83mt. Rolled products output however was down by 3.3% to 1.5mt. It also produced 3.2mt of sinter, up by 4.8% on-year.
In April alone, the company produced 400,000t of steel, 460,000t of pig iron, 370,000t of rolled products and 780,000t of sinter.
