AMKR hikes 2020 iron ore output, steel falls
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR)'s production results in 2020, an unprecedentedly difficult year for the entire business, turned out to be better then all pessimistic forecasts, the company says.
Steel output fell by -12.1% on-year to 4.7 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. Pig iron production decreased by -6.9% to 4.9mt and rolled products output was down -7.6% to 4.3mt. It also produced 9mt of sinter, down by -7.9%.
