AMKR hikes pig iron production after furnace overhaul
Ukraine’s ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) steelworks has completed an extended overhaul of blast furnace No.7, the company says.
The technological parameters of the furnace have thereby been restored and design capacity of 3,500 tonnes/day of hot metal has been achieved Kallanish notes. The investment amounted to over UAH 140 million ($4.9m). The overhaul took 25 days.
