European alloy surcharges to rise in May
Alloy surcharges for flat stainless steels in Europe are expected to increase again in May. This is the result of the recent fluctuations in nickel prices.
According to projections from stainless steel players in Europe who spoke to Kallanish, European mills are seen announcing another alloy surcharge increase of around €20/tonne ($22.6/t) on average compared to April.
