Allegiance buys New Elk met coal mine
Australian junior coal producer Allegiance is buying the long-idled New Elk coking coal mine and auxiliary assets in Colorado, Kallanish learns from a company release.
The mine will be acquired through a combination of an upfront consideration of $11 million in cash and shares to the state of Colorado and current owner Cline Mining Corporation. A further $30m will be paid over time to Cline with the proceeds from the mine. The actual purchase price was liste…
