Algoma temporarily extends contract negotiations with union
Ontario-based flat rolled producer Algoma Steel has temporarily extended negotiations with United Steelworkers (USW) Local Union 2251 for a 15-day period.
This extension comes after USW Local Union 2251 refused to hold a vote at the end of last week regarding an offer from Algoma, which the company referred to as its "best and final" proposal.
