Iron ore shortage halts El Hadjar production again
Algeria’s El Hadjar integrated steelmaking plant has stopped production again since the end of last week due to a lack of iron ore supplied by local mines in Tebessa, Kallanish learns from official sources.
This is the third major stoppage at the mill this year, after flooding impacted production in January and a previous iron ore shortage had halted production in mid-March.
