Algerian Qatari Steel advances with DRI plant order

Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) has awarded a Midrex-Paul Wurth consortium the contract to supply equipment, engineering and technical services for a new 2.5 million tonnes/year direct reduced iron plant. The plant will be part of a prospective 2m t/y rebar and wire rod steelworks in Bellara (Jijel), Algeria.
