Algerian Qatari Steel to be commissioned in April
Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS), the new integrated steelmaker located in the region of Jijel, Algeria, is set to be commissioned in April, according to the official Algerian press agency APS.
As reported by Kallanish, the plant is set to produce 2 million tonnes/year of long products for the construction sector in its first phase. A second phase to double production and launch the production of flat products and rails is also being scheduled.
