Algeria’s El Hadjar targets 200,000t of exports
Algerian integrated steelmaker El Hadjar is targeting to export some 200,000 tonnes of steel products this year, after having shipped abroad almost 50,000t during the first quarter, Kallanish learns from the Arab Iron and Steel Union.
Exports made during Q1 included billet to Syria, hot rolled coil to Italy, and pig iron and slag. Further similar sales are now planned for the coming months, to reach the target of 200,000t of exports this year.
