Algeria’s El Hadjar operates at 60% capacity
Algerian integrated steelmaker El Hadjar is currently operating at 60% of its capacity, according to Lofti Manaa, general director of the company.
The mill has an installed capacity of some 800,000 tonnes/year of finished steel products, but last year production only reached 300,000t due to technical issues and the impact of the pandemic. This year, output could get close to 500,000t, Kallanish understands.
