Algeria's El Hadjar halts blast furnace again
The Algerian integrated steel producer El Hadjar halted its blast furnace again last week due to problems linked with the supply of raw materials, Kallanish notes.
The stoppage is only the latest in a series of problems that have affected the mill. The ongoing issues and stoppages forced the local authorities to launch an inter-ministerial committee assessing the situation of the plan (see Kallanish 22 October).
