Alchevsk resumes converter No.2 after repairs
Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (AMK) has initiated the operation of converter No.2 in the oxygen-converter shop, the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) government says citing the Southern Mining and Metallurgical Complex (SMMC) press service.
For the first time since 2014, therefore, two converters are working simultaneously at the plant. This will increase steel production, guaranteeing stable supply to consumers, according to SMMC.
