Scrap shortage incoming, cold briquettes offer solution: conference
Scrap demand will soon begin to outpace supply, while cold iron ore briquettes could offer a solution, said speakers at the Danieli “Innovaction” Meeting in Udine last week.
By the end of the decade, scrap demand will increase at a 3.3% annual growth rate and will begin to outpace supply, according to Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) executive director Ronald Ashburn.
