AISI: US shipments dip hard in December 2015
December’s US steel shipments were down almost -20% year-on-year, although they perked up slightly relative to November, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
US steelmakers shipped 6.556 million short tons in December, down -17.8% from the 7.978m st in December 2014 but up 1.5% from the 6.457m st shipped in November.
