AISI: US raw steel production slips
US raw steel production ticked down slightly both week on week and year on year in the week ended 18 June, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production last week totalled 1.75 million short tons at 74.8% average capability utilisation, down -1.6% from last week, when capability utilisation was 76.1%, and down -0.6% from 18 June, 2015, when capability utilisation was 74.4%.
