September steel imports dive in US
US steel imports sank both month-oN-month and year-on-year in September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
Citing permit data from the US Department of Commerce, AISI puts total September steel imports at 2.846 million short tons and finished steel imports at 2.09m st, down -5% and -9%, respectively, from August.
