AISI: Raw steel production slips on week
US raw steel production in the week ended 14 May ticked down slightly week on week but remained up year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.727 million short tons at an average capability utilisation of 73.9%, down -1.2% from last week and up 1.3% from last year. Average capability utilisation last week was 74.7%, while average capability utilisation last year was 72.1%.
