AISI: Mill shipments rise slightly in April
US steel shipments posted a slight increase both month-on-month and year-on-year in April, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Total April mill shipments were about 7.38 million short tons, up 0.03% from March and up 4.1% from April 2015.
Year-to-date, shipments through April totalled 28.85m st, down -0.7% from last year.
