AISI lauds Senate water bill passage
A new $10 million water infrastructure bill should be a boon for US steelmakers on both the supply and logistics fronts, says the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
The Water Resources Development Act, which passed the US Senate with a vote of 95-3, provides funding for lock and dam restoration and water pipeline infrastructure replacement.
The act will next go before the US House of Representatives for consideration, Kallanish notes.
