AISI: US Imports fall sharply in November
US total and net steel imports registered big drops in November, both month-on-month and year-on-year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
Citing preliminary Census Bureau counts, the AISI says total steel imports fell -22.7% from October’s total to 2.351 million short tons. Finished steel imports likewise fell -15.6% to 1.921m st.
