Aisha Steel foresees strong demand, eyes higher utilisation
Aisha Steel Mills (ASML) says local demand is expected to remain strong and management it taking measures to achieve higher capacity utilisation. The Pakistani cold roller and coil coater saw sales increase 13% on-quarter in the December quarter to 107,370 tonnes as demand recovered rapidly amid a decline in new Covid-19 cases.
Production surged 59% in the December quarter, the second of ASML’s 2020/21 fiscal year, to 109,867t.
