Aisha Steel commissions new CR mill
Aisha Steel Mills (ASML) has commissioned its new SMS-supplied two-stand cold strip mill with 500,000 tonnes/year capacity, Kallanish learns from the technology supplier. Cold rolled coil will be produced down to 0.15mm thick and up to 1,250mm wide.
The Pakistani firm has also commissioned its new push pull pickling line and batch annealing furnace sourced from China and Austria respectively. The investment takes ASML’s CRC capacity to over 700,000t t/y.
