AIIS: US steel exports rise in January
US steel exports appear to have perked up in January, largely due to increases in exports to Canada, Mexico and Chile, Kallanish learns from the American Institute for International Steel (AIIS).
Citing data from the US Census Bureau, the AIIS says US exports totalled 782,172 short tons in January, up 7.8% from December but still down -15.5% year-on-year.
