Ahmsa eyes 1.2 million tonnes additional coke output

Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa)’s new coking plant will have 120 furnaces with the capacity to produce 1.2 million tonnes/year of coke. The project will include an area of 16 hectares and create over 1,000 jobs through local companies by the second quarter of 2020, Ahmsa deputy director Jorge Ancira Elizondo told local press.
