African, LatAm buying surge lifts Turkish rod exports
Turkish wire rod exports increased 22% on-year in April to 161,173 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average price was $506/t versus $603/t in April 2018.
Turkish rod exports thus returned to growth in April after an on-year drop in March brought an end to eight consecutive months of increases.
